Through relentless innovation and discovery, they are strengthening trust, safety and transparency across the student transportation space and making the trip to and from school safer for students.<br><br>The Field Service Technicians (FST) support the installation and service of our client's camera and communication equipment on customer fleets. They will work with the Field Service teams to meet installation and service schedules and maintain high quality standards. FST will perform installations and service according to defined operating procedures, additionally they will complete routine troubleshooting and propose solutions to service challenges.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Works with schematics, install and service manuals, CAD drawings to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field</li><li>Records and communicates daily deliverables to team leads in a timely manner</li><li>Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li><li>Champions quality and safety standards with all team members and partners</li><li>Follows all safety guidelines</li><li>Operates a variety of standard hand and power tools, analog/digital test equipment, and CCTV testing devices</li><li>Runs wires, manages cabling, connects components, mounts devices, and effectively solves problems while maintaining a high quality standard</li><li>Uses diagnostic equipment including multimeters & software to isolate wiring issues, network connectivity issues, equipment failures, and operational anomalies</li><li>Uses signal flow to trace and resolve network cable issues</li><li>Effectively terminates and tests basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks, others</li><li>Installs and terminates sub-devices (i.e., patch panels, junction boxes) and head-end equipment to include power and proper grounding</li><li>Generates, evaluates, and implements solutions to routine problems. Provides basic level of system diagnostics and troubleshooting such as electrical connections or equipment issues</li><li>Uses information technology and related applications, including adaptive devices and software, to convey and retrieve information. Enters, transcribes, records, and maintains information in written or electronic/digital format, including adaptive devices and software.</li><li>Works effectively with others from diverse backgrounds, resolving conflict appropriately and building trust with colleagues</li><li>Identifies, moves, and stores construction and building materials for all types of installation and service activities<br><br></li></ul><strong> Qualifications: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum of 1 year technician service experience or schooling in an applicable field:</li><ul><li>12-volt electronics installs and service, OR</li><li>GPS or fleet telemetry installs and service, OR</li><li>Fire alarm installs and service, OR</li><li>Access control, CCTV, or intercom systems, OR</li><li>School or other transit bus mechanic systems</li></ul><li>Strong mechanical, mathematical and reasoning aptitude is required</li><li>Valid and current State issued Driver's License</li></ul><strong> Work Environment <br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to travel and work when school buses are not in operation; OT and occasional weekends may be required. Travel by air or driving as required based on distance.
