Summary of the role:

As an Account Manager at M-Files, you’ll play a key role in nurturing long-term customer relationships and driving revenue growth within our existing customer base. You’ll act as a strategic advisor, uncovering opportunities to expand product adoption, deliver value, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

This role requires excellent relationship management, solution selling, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally to support customer success and growth initiatives.

What you will be doing/Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing customers
  • Driving account expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and renewal strategies
  • Understanding each customer’s business goals, challenges, and product usage to deliver ongoing value
  • Partnering with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Product teams to support customer outcomes
  • Identifing at-risk accounts early and coordinate retention strategies
  • Conducting regular account reviews and success check-ins
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Staying informed on M-Files product updates, roadmap, and new capabilities to share with customers
  • Traveling for customer meetings or QBRs as needed

Requirements

Who you are/Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience as outlined
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or expansion-focused SaaS sales
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a portfolio of existing B2B customer accounts
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with executive stakeholders
  • Proactive, customer-centric approach to retention and growth
  • Skilled in consultative selling and identifying customer needs
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM systems

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in information management, document/content management, or enterprise SaaS
  • Familiarity with expansion sales strategies and frameworks (e.g., SPICED, land-and-expand)
  • Experience managing mid-market or enterprise customer relationships
  • Background in industries such as Energy, Utilities, Financial Services, or Professional Services
