Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Coordinator to join our team in North Royalton, Ohio. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of capturing employee time and attendance data, processing weekly payroll regularly, and ensuring compliance with relevant multi-state laws and regulations. This position maintains accurate payroll records, works alongside HR and also assists with administrative duties.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll that includes salaried, hourly, and commissioned employees in multiple states in the U.S.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports (gross payroll, hours worked, PTO, ad hoc, etc.).
  • Audit time and attendance against GPS and Service Titan records.
  • Work closely and collaborate with Human Resources department to ensure timely and accurate updates on payroll status forms, benefit deductions and keeping of employee electronic files.
  • Create and/or process query reports to support local management, Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and others as needed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to established internal controls and compliance procedures.
  • Communicate and resolve payroll issues for Human Resources, Finance and other departments and staff as needed.
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of all payroll processes seeking maximum processing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain high level of customer service including timely research and response to inquiries and consultation on payroll issues including tax and regulatory matters.
  • Maintains up to date professional and technical payroll knowledge including US government, state / province, and local requirements, ensuring company compliance, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of payroll information and data files.
  • Maintain and audit accuracy of vacation, sick, floating holiday reports and accruals.
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees.
  • Special projects and assignments as needed.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Paylocity experience required.
  • Microsoft Office Suites experience is required. (Strong Excel skills and Outlook primarily)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Previous payroll systems experience, including developing reports is required.
  • Experience with high-volume payroll processing.
  • Knowledge performing commission calculations.
  • Familiarity with multi-state payroll processes, laws, and regulations is a plus.
  • Service Titan experience makes you stand out above the other candidates !

Work Schedule:

  • Standard business hours of Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • This is a full time – onsite in office position.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
