WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide excellent customer service to the client, client employees, visitors, and vendors by offering directions, answering questions, and immediately addressing/escalating concerns.
  • Maintain access control to the client site. This is not limited to checking credentials and documentation to ensure individuals have approval to enter the client site.
  • Regularly patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to be a visual deterrent, prevent vandalism, or any suspicious activity.
  • Report any security breaches, safety hazards, or suspicious activity immediately.
  • Write clear, comprehensive and concise reports using a structured format to capture full incident details.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and take appropriate action to mitigate risk or damage.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and client employees with various tasks as assigned by supervisors and managers.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Observation and Attention to Detail: Ability to remain vigilant and capture relevant details for reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills during interactions and reporting.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to patrol large areas, stand for long periods and quickly report emergencies and threats.
  • Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations calmly and effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate security equipment and systems to effectively complete daily tasks.
  • Customer Service Oriented: Friendly and approachable demeanor to assist the client, client employees, visitors and vendors while maintaining a professional security presence.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Valid CADL in good standing.
  • High school education or equivalent (GED)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Have a solid/stable work history.
  • Participate in pre-employment screening process.
  • Security, Military, Corrections, or Law Enforcement experience is a PLUS.
  • Valid California BSIS Security License.
  • California BSIS 40-hour certificates.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the scheduled location regardless of public transportation shutdowns.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The job may require work in various environments, such as indoor/outdoor access control posts as well as reception and patrol posts.
  • Shifts may vary, and flexibility is required to ensure schedule needs are met and the client site is secured.
