Security & privacy concerns are ever-evolving, creating an extremely dynamic environment for the Security team.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p>As a Technical Program Manager within the Security team, you will be an active contributor to the overall strategy of cross-org security initiatives, shape technical design, drive decision making, and ensure seamless execution through all the program phases—from planning to delivery. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional results through building and implementing solutions that protect our users and serve the business. </p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Act as the voice of the user in security designs, gather direct feedback, identify security challenges and incorporate them into our planning</li> <li>Play a key part in shaping the technical design, predicting technical roadblocks by collaborating with engineers, and identifying trade-offs between usability and security </li> <li>Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and prioritization at the leadership level</li> <li>Create widely circulated plans, driving consistency, clarity and building alignment across teams</li> <li>Help influence peers / stakeholders and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity</li> <li>Operationalize key cross-functional security initiatives and programs that require security domain, systems and engineering level knowledge</li> <li>Define and report on program health, success metrics and active progress</li> <li>Develop, implement, and iterate on program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve goals with defined success criteria</li> <li>Elevate the execution muscle of engineering teams around you. Train them to be better at delivery where needed.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p>We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience</li> <li>Experience in security infrastructure technology and cloud native infrastructure services</li> <li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security, privacy, and compliance</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li> <li>Demonstrated competencies in providing program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, challenge the norms and make data-driven decisions</li> <li>Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Background in technical program management, in the field of security.</li> <li>Proficient knowledge in security architecture, threat modeling and privacy principles.</li> <li>SQL and python scripting and/or programming skills would be a huge advantage.</li> </ul> <p>See <a href="https://stripe.com/docs/security">Security at Stripe</a> for more information about our security practices and commitment. </p>
